An external network scan, or external vulnerability scan, only looks at your system’s network security from external sources. While most of the threat of losing data in an organization comes from employees who usually handle the data – and IT specialists working at the organization, external vulnerabilities are just as threatening. Web applications and networks are available over the internet by design, making them a vulnerable point of entry for possible attackers if not protected.

We scan ports to detect vulnerable, open ports, determine services that may cause vulnerabilities, probe sensitive services for weak passwords, test DNS server vulnerabilities, identify poor network configurations, and more. Additional external network scanning can detect SQL injection attacks, XSS attacks, XEE injection attacks, and plugin vulnerabilities.
